Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be one of the most outstanding athletes. As the only U.S. female gymnast, Biles was one of the few who won four gold medals in the same Games during the 2016 Olympics. Biles was the only person to have three world titles consecutively. Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. They grew in the Houston metropolitan area. Simone began to be interested in gymnastics while she was just six. Coach Aimee Borman invited her to Bannon's Gymnastix, where they went on an excursion. Biles received a silver medal in vault, and a bronze medal in floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She began playing in elite levels of the sport. Two years later, she was a dominant competitor in the sport. Biles was notable for her constant performance her enthusiastic attitude as well as the amount of effort she introduced in each event--vault, uneven bars the balance beam, and the ground work.
