Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically diverse family. The mother of her child is English and her father Nigerian. She went to The Brit School when she was 14 years old. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was awarded. As a student at the academy, she appeared in numerous stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career started with Storm Damage. In the years since, she's appeared as a guest in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In the following film, she played Elisha on an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie for six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. The ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl featured her in 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe also played the main character on How to lose friends & alienate people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2008. A couple of her credits on stage are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe officially made her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes on The CW, and was later ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was announced in May 2013. After two years as a main character, she made a guest performance in the opening episode of season three. In the television series Salem the actress played Tituba from 2014 until the year 2016. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg on June 2012. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and he had a part alongside her in that TV show.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her family included the parents Roy and Patty together with four older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley lived in stadiums or baseball parks because the four brothers who were athletic played baseball, hockey, and basketball in winter and summer. Ashley could never walk but she was able to dance. When she turned two-and-a-half she took up Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley began to be a dancer following this. Until she graduated from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical and hip hop. Every major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the honor of "top soloist".
